my walls are a tan color and my towels and rugs are a blueish gray.
i was thinking maybe a black and white picture too?

if not that, what color towels should i buy?

Black and White matches everything! I think its a little too busy of a pattern though. maybe find a shower curtain that's tan to match the towels and rugs. I think the black and white picture would be awesome still.

you could get tan , red, white, black, grey, lime green, yellow, fuchsia, purple towels if you like the prints should reflect Africa since you have chosen a zebra print shower curtain

Just do crisp white plush towels. Black would be too heavy and tan wouldn't work Your artwork doesn't have to be black/white. You can add colorful animal prints or tropical pictures. And change the rugs to white.

New life: Pro’s Ranch Markets anchors next phase for El Paseo Road (8:35 a.m.)

LAS CRUCES – Remember when the plaza on El Paseo road was the “happening place” on that side of town? A large supermarket – Jewel Osco at one point – anchored the space and a Subway, a jewelry store and even a Chinese restaurant enticed customers.

The supermarkets left and the Community Action Agency took over the larger building, officially located at 320 E. Wyatt Dr., and the plaza saw multiple empty storefronts pop up.

A sign of hope cropped up in 2008 when California-based Pro’s Ranch Markets, purchased the entire plaza and announced it would open one its supermarkets there. The company, which calls itself one of the fastest-growing Hispanic supermarket chains in the country, put up banners and enticed Las Crucens with ideas of another, large anchor store in the plaza.

But then 2009 passed and then 2010. The company reported several times that it hoped to get started soon, but those timelines would pass.

Rick Provenzano, vice president of operations and son of owner Mike Provenzano, said that, as a family owned company, they couldn’t just build whenever they wanted, and the company had to reopen a store in Phoenix that suffered from a fire.

“Building these stores cost $5 to $7 million,” he said. “We’re just a family business.”

Mike Provenzano said he is excited about the new location on El Paseo Road.

“Las Cruces is where my mother was born, so I’ve got to do a great job or she’ll be up there looking down on me kicking my butt,” he said. “We plan on using that facility real heavily (and work with) local farmers and local businesses.”

Rick Provenzano said that the construction company at the store has 60 employees, working three shifts, seven days a week.

“They’re going 24/7,” Provenzano said. “We’re looking at (an opening) of the end of October or the first of November.”

Ron Enriquez, manager of new Mexico and Texas for Pro’s Ranch Markets, said there has been a lot of interest.

“Every day people ask me about it,” he said of the Las Cruces store.The store will include a tortillaria – corn only due to space limitations, but flour tortillas will be brought up from El Paso each day – as well as a hot food location with tables, some dedicated Hispanic products in its grocery section, as well as the usual supermarket departments such as bakery, meat, fish and liquor.

Also, there are small spaces at the exit and just inside the store for companies to rent and have locations. Rick Provenzano said examples at other stores include small jewelry stores and a computer repair location and a location that sold jeans.

Other tenants

In the El Paseo Plaza a Melrose Family Fashions clothing store, an Anna’s Linens and a Pro’s Ranch-owned Ranchie Laundromat are also slated to open and join currents tenants such as Pho Saigon restaurant.

Melrose sells clothes for women, men and children as well as shoes and accessories. Anna’s Linens – which has a location at the Mesilla Valley Mall – offers bedding and bath products, window treatments, shower curtains, kitchen items, comforters and bath accessories.

Pro’s Ranch Markets operates a pair of Ranchie Laundromats in Phoenix and plans to open one in the plaza on El Paseo Road as well.

Other projects are taking place in the area.

In the parking lot of the plaza, the building that used to house the original McDonald’s in Las Cruces, will soon become a Chinese restaurant. Empire Habachi Grill & Supreme Buffet, located near the mall at 510 S Telshor Blvd., announced it will open a second location in the old McDonald’s building.

Just down the road, the location at 1300 El Paseo Road that used to house Walgreens before the pharmacy company built a new store, will soon be a Planet Fitness, which has franchises in El Paso.

Art Banegas with Arban Industries said that his company is working on a new Las Cruces location.

“It’ll be a 13,000-square foot facility,” Banegas said. “It’ll be about a 10-week completion.

On its website, planetfitness.com, the company reports that it provides “A unique environment in which anyone can be comfortable.”

Redesign Bathroom for the moms. Paint help.?

so we have this little half bathroom in our house thats so plain ugly looking so for my mom's birthday i wanted to surprise her with painting it, getting some new tiles, new accessories and everything. Color scheme i thought would be brown and a light blue. classic but modern a little bit. the real question i guess i have is when repainting this bathroom what would i really need? just paint, primer paint? and if you have any other suggestions to make this half bath (well more like a toilet sink and shower) better feel free to let me know.

and i know my mother wouldn't mind me repainting it, she'd be appreaciative about the effort to fix it up. thanks people.

What colors look good with a medium/dark gray wall?

We've got medium/dark gray bathroom walls, and need to know what accent colors would look good. We're thinking maybe cobalt blue, yellow, orange (although not all together!). what do you think? Shower curtain, rugs, pictures, etc. needed. thanks!

I like the idea of darker shades on dark (gray). The blue sounds good, but since it is a bathroom, you could get away with a darker purple, too.

What we did with our bathroom was black, gray, white, and pink. you could also switch the pink with any light color like blue to keep it modern and cool.
Or if your looking for a little more excitement try doing bright orange or maybe peach accents.

If the bathroom your redecorating is going to be a boy/girl shared bathroom, I would try to stay with the blacks, grays, and whites so it's not leaning toward a certain gender.

Since gray is such a neutral color it will go with almost any color including the ones you mentioned. Since you are going to be living there, pick your favorite color or two favorite colors and have fun.

I thought pale pink look good, but you might not like that. Eith really pale yellow to contrast the walls or a light seafoam green
