Good Oral Hygiene Can Assist With a Full Body Detox

Good oral health or dental hygiene has an important role in the overall health of our bodies. This article will discuss ways that we can all maintain good health and stellar dental hygiene.

Brush your teeth properly on a regular basis subsequent to every meal. This helps to maintain hygienic teeth as well as avoid the buildup of plaque. Adults must use a medium-sized toothbrush with soft bristles in order to put off erosion of tooth enamel. Despite popular belief, fluoride based toothpaste is not necessary for dental health.

It is more important that you brush properly to remove plaque and unwanted residue. Generally, you should meticulously brush your teeth twice daily, on the other hand brushing subsequent to every meal is most advisable. When you brush, take care to make sure you brush every tooth with the adjacent gum area. it generally takes between 2 and 3 minutes to appropriately brush your teeth.

You only need to use a pea sized amount of toothpaste each time you brush. Be sure to change your toothbrush about once every 30 days for the most effective results.

Brush your tongue appropriately with a tongue cleaner. This will assist with freshening your breath. Flossing provides a very important element in good dental health care. Dentists suggest that we floss our teeth subsequent to each meal or no less than once daily.

Flossing aids in getting rid of small food particles as well as plaque that builds up and gets stuck between the teeth. Despite the fact that brushing assists in cleaning the surface of the teeth, flossing ensures the areas between the teeth are cleaned as well.

Make use of mouthwash to avoid tooth decay. good mouth washes do not only cut down bacteria in the mouth but also help fight bad breath. you can avoid having bad breath by chewing on a mint gum. if you have persistent bad breath it could be a sign of some internal ailment. Consult with your dentist if you cannot rid yourself of foul smelling breath.

Visit your dentist frequently. it is, actually, the best way to avoid oral health problems. it is recommended that you have a check-up with your dentist twice a year at which time you should partake in professional cleaning of you teeth.

Drink ample amounts of water as this will maintain the health of the tongue, mouth, and keep your teeth fresh. Do not drink juice, soda, and coffee since they will stain the teeth and may contain sugar that is harmful for tooth health. by drinking at least half of your body weight in ounces each day you will also be aiding in a full body detox to remove toxins from your system.

Maintain a healthy diet. Habitual use of tobacco products can have a negative effect on dental health. a lot of people are taken aback when they learn that a person’s diet can make a great difference. Large quantities of sugary or starchy foods can lead to a major build up of plaque. Habitual consumption of large quantities of alcohol can also cause dental problems. Avoiding these substances will also help one to attain a full body detox.

Fabulous Carnival in Venice

In about 1985, I saw a photo of Venice during Carnival (Carnevale), which included the masked and costumed revelers, it has been on my Top 10 visit list ever since.

What is not to like about this event:

  • The beautiful city of Venice
  • A really big 10 day party through the streets
  • Fantastic costumes
  • Italian food

Carnival (Carnevale) is the annual event in Venice for the ten days leading up to Lent, the last night is Shrove Tuesday on which there are several big balls. of course this is not just a Venetian tradition; think Mardi Gras in Rio or Trinidad during the same time of year, but my interest in fancy masked balls and beautiful costumes is much greater than watching dancers in dental floss bikinis. the origin of the word carnevale is Latin (carnem levare or carnelevarium) and suggests a farewell to meat, which was traditionally given up in the weeks of self-denial, during the period of Lent.

The history of the masks and the masquerade dates back to Roman times, there are records of the festival as far back as 1162. the Romans celebrated the early part of the year with a fertility festival where masks were used by all levels of society including slaves. the Carnevale di Venezia enjoyed a long period of infamy and notoriety through the 1600s, up until the time of Napoleon’s conquer in 1797. at the peak of this event, the party started on December 26th and ended sometime in the spring. This period of gambling and partying coincided with the loss of prominence and wealth in the region, as the power centers of Holland and Britain expanded their trading reaches. the celebration continued to decline and was actually banned in 1930 by Mussolini. a group of Venetians, and Venice lovers restarted the tradition in 1979.

Today the Carnevale is limited to the ten-day period before Lent and it is an enormous tourist draw. the city is really crowded, hotels are expensive, restaurants full and the streets are at times simply bottlenecked. there are websites and tour groups fully dedicated to the event. the range of party events caters to the rich and sophisticated (balls and music), to the families with kids (chocolate and puppets) and to the college crowd (pub crawls).

You can choose to participate in the carnival celebrations in several ways depending on your tastes, energy level and budget. You can simply walk around the streets or sit in a cafe and watch the incredible costumed characters that are wondering the streets. Spend some time in Piazzo San Marco, there are all sorts of special performances throughout the day and night. choose to get your face painted and have some fun. Or you can buy tickets to any number events, that range from very affordable to very expensive.

We booked two nights in a great hotel right near Piazza San Marco. Arrival in Venice was actually easier than anticipated; there is lots of signage, big car parks and a central arrival point for the aqua-transit system. the vaporetti (water buses) are very efficient, there are multiple routes and destinations available, at a very minimum every visitor will end up on the #1 or #2 at some point, running in the Grande Canal and Canale delle Giudecca (respectively). Buy a multi-day unlimited ticket; you will end up using the system.

Venice at any time of the year is beautiful; there are endless museums, galleries and historical buildings to engage all types of interests. Two things that I would highly recommend;

  1. A visit to the island of Murano where the glass factories are located. You can take the scenic boat tour that we did in error and really see all the islands or go direct. In either case, Murano is filled with glass and restaurants and is a nice break from the crowds in Venice.
  2. The Secret Itineraries Tour of the Doge’s Palace. This tour as something beyond the normal tour and it is really fun

How to Clean Your Dental Implants

4 Easy Methods

BRUSHING – Guess what, you still have to brush. The same bacteria and food particles that accumulate around natural teeth will still accumulate around your dental implant. The bacteria won’t cause you to get cavities in your implant or implant crown, but the bacteria will work itself into your gums and gingivitis if you don’t brush.

Well. who cares about gingivitis? You do. after bacteria work their way into the gums around your implants, the bone directly underneath the gums decides it does not want a bacterial infection so the bone starts to recede. This is the same bone that support your implant. if you lose enough bone around the implant, it will fail. Brush normally, and make sure you are brushing at a 45 degree angle where the tooth brush head is aimed at where the tooth meets the gum.

FLOSSING – why do I have to floss, I already brush four times a day? well, when was the last time you got your tooth brush in between your teeth? if you’re like most folks, the answer is never. your teeth are wedged up against each other, so a tooth brush can’t possible feet between the teeth. That’s where flossing come in handy. Floss is thin enough to snap in between the teeth and mechanically clean the bacteria from in between and around the teeth.

With an implant, you actually want to wrap the floss around implant 180 degrees, so both ends of the floss are pointing toward the outside of your mouth (or cheek depending on what tooth your flossing). The move the floss in an up and down motion to loosen and bacteria. next, wrap the floss around implant 180 degrees again, but this time both ends of the floss are pointing toward the inside of your mouth (your tongue or palate). again, move the floss in an up and down motion.

PLASTIC PICK – ever get food stuck between your implant and a tooth? clean that food out. Bacteria love having an ample supply of food stuck between your teeth. if I use a pick, why do I need to floss? Floss gets bacteria out of: where the teeth actually touch (so you don’t get cavities on the adjacent teeth), and between the teeth and gums where a pick struggles to completely clean.

DENTAL CLEANING – For the deep stuff. The dental hygienist utilizes instruments that can clean deep around the implant, where a toothbrush, floss or pick won’t reach.

Other Tips

BRUSH or FLOSS FIRST – The truth is, it doesn’t matter. just make sure to do both every day.

ELECTRONIC or MANUAL TOOTHBRUSHES – Both work fine. Remember to always buy soft bristles. The medium and hard bristles are only provided by toothbrush manufacturers because consumers feel like I am really cleaning when they use a tougher toothbrush. unfortunately, the medium and firm toothbrushes slowly brush the gums and root surfaces from your teeth. This can lead to recession and generalized sensitivity on your teeth.

Precautions

KEEP METAL AWAY FROM IMPLANTS - Please keep metal cleaning instruments away from your implants. The metal can scratch the implant, much like how metal cooking utensils and scratch the surface of your cooking pans. Scratches on your implant give the bacteria a nice little valley to nestle into and build a home.

The Right Tools for Oral Hygiene

You all know the traditional toothbrush but there are some more tools to be used for a perfect oral hygiene.

Toothbrush: irreplaceable and indispensable, it should ideally be used three times daily after each meal. The purpose of brushing is to remove plaque deposited on the teeth. you can opt for a manual toothbrush or an electric toothbrush. There are three types of manual toothbrushes according to the severity of hairs: hard, medium or soft. to find one that suits you, take the time to test several models. in general, a model with soft bristles works for everyone. Choosing the right toothbrush is also includes the selection of the head of the toothbrush: articulated, simple or more complex with lengths and positions of different hair.

A good toothbrush is perfectly marrying your teeth and enters it without difficulty in the gaps for optimal hygiene.

We must change it at least every three months. Alternative to the manual toothbrush, the electric toothbrush makes brushing comprehensive. The rotary heads of these toothbrushes are often rounded and sophisticated, to achieve the teeth, the gingival crevices and interstices. again, remember to regularly change the heads. For convenience, you can use an electric toothbrush at home and a manual toothbrush when you’re away or your workplace.

Floss: it is useful or even indispensable complement of the brush to your teeth. Daily use of dental floss silk or nylon is used to remove plaque that accumulates in the interstices between the teeth, areas difficult to reach with a brush to teeth and prevent inflammation of the gums. Use it at least once a day. If you find that it is not easy to use, there is dental floss holder. be careful not to make abrupt movements that could injure the gums. Smile dental care is one of the main benefits of dental floss.

Toothpick: it allows the removal of large debris accumulated in the interdental spaces is often inaccessible to the bristles of the brush. There are several kinds, but the only one that is efficient and pleasant soft wood. it must be moistened with saliva or water before use. its triangular shape allows easier transition.

Sticks or interdentally brush: For people with bared teeth or implants that allow areas inaccessible to the brush, it is important to use sticks or brushes to remove interdentally plaque at the base of the teeth in these larger spaces, and stimulate the gums. They rinse off after use and can be used multiple times. you can take help of a smile dental clinic in choosing best sticks for you.

Dental water jet: The jet aircraft used to remove plaque, food debris and at the same time massaging the gums. it eliminates the pressure of the water of debris stuck in some inaccessible corner with a brush. however, it does not eliminate the bacteria in dental plaque; it does not replace the toothbrush and brush. The water jet is particularly useful to the holders of prostheses or braces.

Indicative of plaque: the developer of plaque, which occurs most often in liquid form, applied to the teeth. it stains the plaque, most often in red, which can make it visible. this allows you to see where the brush must be intensified. As long as there is color, there is a plaque and we must brush. At first, you can use every day. And once well acquired your brushing technique, you can keep the habit of using it occasionally to make sure to maintain good hygiene.

Brush dentures: those who wear braces must use a special brush for braces. this brush is different from conventional toothbrush: it is bigger and harder. it should be used for cleaning.

All this does not exempt you from an annual visit to the dental clinic. During this control, you can ask your dentist how to best use these accessories.

Go Floss Yourself

It’s amazing what we become conditioned to, what we unconsciously learn to accept. I can’t think of a time when the preponderance of crushed, singed, and otherwise mutilated cigarette butts scattered willy-nilly offended my sense of propriety—an inexplicable given, like the inescapability of wild dandelions or Weezer’s improbable post-90s career.

Meet the new scourge—not the same as the old scourge. Little. Angular. Plastic. Possessed of a taut, threaded string. Not even remotely biodegradable. Available in a wide array of vivid, eye-gouging colors. Yes, I speak of micro-flossers, those oh-so handy enablers of good, on-the-go dental hygiene that permit the time-challenged and orally-obsessed to clean between molars and incisors between meetings or en route to romantic encounters. once upon a time, the average person engaged in an age-old dental ritual before leaving the house: brush, floss, rinse. The Holy Trinity, if you like. (The advent of bleaching strips has complicated everything.)

Now, dental hygiene has become like coiffure primping or earwax removal or nose-picking: something to do when driving or wandering the streets or waiting for concert tickets. And the stuff you’ve extracted? That stuff is gross, globs of chicken and bits of corn and plaque and a sort of unidentifiable gelatin consisting of everything you’ve eaten since last Tuesday; there it is, all over the flosser in your hand, challenging the zippy aesthetic qualities of this mass-produced marvel. So you sort of casually stiffen the arm holding the flosser and just, you know, drop it, and shift into that conspicuous/inconspicuous shuffle the guilty adopt when they’re attempting to elude criticism for breaking a societal code. And sure, nobody saw you do it, but the evidence is piling up everywhere, albeit slowly. Gradually. but that’s how every scourge starts. Novelty begets ubiquity so quickly it’ll make your head spin—unless you’re flossing in your rearview mirror.

Natural Remedy For Genital Warts

There are some natural remedies that you can use to treat your genital warts. there are many options available to those people who aren’t interested in mainstream medical treatment. For starters, you can use a garlic suppository. just take a clove of garlic, wrap it in gauze, tie it with unwaxed dental floss and insert it in your vagina just like you would with a tampon.

Another natural remedy for genital warts is if you have vitamin E oil, you can also apply it to your vagina using a q-tip. just dip it into the oil and apply it to the affected area. This is for external areas only. You should then place a band aid on the affected area. The same applies to Castor oil treatment. It’s only for use on external areas and not for those inside of your body.

If you apply the Castor oil religiously for about a month three to four times a day, then you will eventually see some results. a special natural remedy for genital warts is also an apple cider vinegar remedy. This is also for external warts.

The natural remedy for genital warts comes in many forms that you can use, and I think it’s about using what is closest at hand. You can also use pineapple juice, fig juice, and sour apple juice in the same way. just put a little on a cotton ball and dab on the affected area. You can also use pieces of fresh pineapple. just place them on the affected areas. You can secure them with a band aid or medical tape. You have to be patient with natural remedies, faithfully use the remedies for about four weeks and your warts will disappear.

My Personal Brushing Regimen For Conquering Bad Breath

There is an easier and less expensive way to conquer bad breath. however, this by no means suggests that you should not continue to see your dentist; this system will help you to combat bad breath and promote a healthier mouth. in fact, you should see your dentist or a dentist if you do not have one to ensure that you do not have a gum disease that is causing bad breath.

If you know someone with chronic bad breath feel free to direct him or her to this web site so that person can learn about this system.

First, let me start by stating that I am not a dentist, I have no dental training, and I do not advise that you should stop seeing your dentist for the proper care of your teeth, gums, and mouth. in fact, if you do have a dentist and you see him or her regularly, I suggest you to continue to see your dentist while using this system. Use this system daily and you will see some great results in 1 to 2 weeks.

I propose that with this system, you will get a better handle on and controlling bad breath while promoting a healthier and cleaner mouth.

1. Floss your teeth thoroughly in the morning and at night

2. Fill the Listerine cap up with Listerine

3. Pour a of the mouth wash into your mouth and brush your teeth with the Listerine still in your mouth for 1 to 2 minutes – remember to brush your tongue as well

Continue to use this regimen daily for two weeks and you will notice and experience a cleaner mouth and a fresher breath. Brush your teeth at least twice a day as least twice a day as dentists recommends. Keep in mind that a beautiful person with bad breath is a lot less attractive than an average looking person with clean, fresh breath.

How To Floss Properly

Flossing is one of the most important things you can do for the health of your teeth. So, how do you floss properly?

Start by using the correct amount of floss. you will want close to 18 inches so that you have enough to wind around your fingers, and still have about two inches to use to clean in between your teeth.

Next, is how you hold the floss. you must wrap your floss around your middle finger on each hand. you must then hold it taut so that the floss inserted between your teeth sits tight, and cleans thoroughly.

After you have the hold right, you will want to make sure that you insert the floss between your teeth correctly. you do not want to snap the floss in between your teeth. if you snap it in, then it can cause damage to the gums. it can make your gums bleed, and can be fairly painful. So, instead, gently wiggle the floss into the spaces between teeth.

Once you have the floss in between your teeth, you need to use up and down motions, not side to side, to remove plaque and food particles. you will want to go down the gumline, under the gum about a millimeter or two, and then lift up. by doing this you remove the plaque and debris that cause tartar and tooth decay under the gum.

You will want to do this between each tooth, and you will want to be sure to do a good job on rear teeth so that in hard to reach places, you still get a clean floss. this is important or you will get cavities.

After you floss your teeth you want to be sure to brush. Most people floss after brushing, but the opposite is the best way to floss properly. why? Flossing helps to loosen plaque and debris, but not all of it is swept clean away by the floss, so if you brush, or swish with mouthwash after you get a more effective clean.

When combined with brushing, flossing is the most effective way of keeping your teeth free of decay and plaque build-up. So, no matter how much you brush, be sure to floss as well.

Experts recommend you floss at least once a day.

Before you begin flossing, find a type of floss you will like to use, and one that is the right size and kind for your teeth. if you have large spaces between your teeth, a woven floss or dental tape may work best. if your teeth are crowded, or close together, a waxed floss that will slide between them easily is best. There are many varieties of floss available, including waxed, unwaxed, and flavored, weaved, etc. Finding the floss you enjoy the most will make your flossing experience better. you will be more likely to floss daily, and possibly get an even better clean.

The majority of people prefer waxed floss, as it slides in and out easier and is less likely to shred as you floss your teeth. however, it is totally a personal preference, so try a few varieties out and see which one works best for you. Whatever type you decide use is your personal preference, but make sure the floss is approved by the ADA (American Dental Association.)
