Cosmetic Tattoo Supplies

The new millennium has brought with it a consistently rising demand for a new tattoo related procedure, sometimes vaguely referred to as permanent makeup. for the tattoo artist, this can be a very financially positive new rave, but at the same time, it can be quite frightening. the frightening end of the process comes with the realization that the parts of the body that these procedures take place on are very sensitive areas, such as the eyelids and the lips.

The actual purpose of this technique is to tattoo on certain shades of ink so that the target subject appears to be wearing makeup at all times. This saves a great amount of time for the person getting the permanent makeup, however, the only drawback of it is that it is not removable. As with most tattoos, there usually are no second chances. If you are considering this procedure, think long and hard before taking this step as there is no turning back.

Regardless of the bodily target location of this new aspect of tattooing, the wise artist will definitely learn the tricks of the trade, as the demand for permanent makeup is growing by leaps and bounds and there is not an abundance of studios that currently offer it. to begin with, the artist will need to gather supplies for learning this art. These supplies are generally available through most large-scale tattoo supply distributor, such as Worldwide Tattoo Supply, Joe Kaplan Tattoo Supplies, Tattoo XP and Needle Jack Tattoo supply. Finding the supplies should not be an issue.

The suggested supplies for this type of procedure are instruction manuals (of course), the Medical Issues Book, Esthetics for Permanent Cosmetics Book, Permanent Cosmetics, and the Equipment Manuel. you can obtain various alternatives of these through any distributor, but if you want them quick, you can find them online at the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (spcp.org/).

Even after you obtain these supplies, it is still important to train under a professional for a certain amount of time. the risk for permanent injury and a lawsuit is simply too high to risk going it alone.

Sambat Mascara Y Regatta Festival in Bohol, Philippines

The Sambat Mascara Y Regatta Festival is one of the main festivals in Bohol, specifically celebrated at Loay.

Here is the typical location of the Loay Sambat Mascara Y Regatta Festival. Loay is in the south west coast of Bohol and at 18 kilometers away from the city of Tagbilaran. Loay is at the mouth of the Loboc River where the regatta takes place. The Loay town is established in the year 1740 and as early as that, the Sambat Mascara Y Regatta Festival has been celebrated.

Although the town celebrates its feast day in may (the exact date is movable within the month), the main attraction in Loay is the celebration of the Sambat Mascara Y Regatta Festival, which is celebrated amidst that colors of activities such as the agricultural-industrial market fair, musical instrument competitions as the drum and bugle competition, and of course the grouped masquerade street dancing and the boat races along the river. The event is also highlighted by the fabulous display and parade of the image of Saint Francis Xavier, the Loay town’s second patron to whom the Sambat Mascara Y Regatta Festival is celebrated in honor.

The Sambat Mascara Y Regatta Festival is celebrated in his honor every first Saturdays of the month of December.

Since the festival is a religiously originated one, you might want to stop over at the Loay Chruch located just over on a plateau overlooking the sea on the upper part of Loay called Ibabao.

Another prominent feature of Loay that you might notice upon festivities visit is the Loay plaza. The sheer simplicity of the Plaza takes from its Spanish colonial roots with only a wide open stretch of space without any landscaping or decorative embellishments. The only distinctive features amidst the grassy area are the two coral stone buildings which are very simplistic yet classical to look at. one of the buildings is a one-story being used as a public school, whicle the other one is a two-story emblemed with the Virgin Mary. The second one is under renovation to be converted as an archdiocese Spanish period archive for church documents coming from all 38 parishes from the diocese of Loay.

Other sites that you don’t want to miss upon visiting during the Sambat Mascara Y Regatta Festival are the Clarin Ancestral House, Rio Vista Heights, the Clarin Beach Resort, Himontagon Hills, Punta Baluerte, and the Spanish watchtower located at Villalimpia.

Experience this winter festival. Don’t wait till Christmas to experience all the fun and sightseeing you can get.

What is the best way to apply eye liner to your top lid?

i have been trying everyday to put eye liner on my top lid but i always seem to mess up. either i screw up the line im drawing or i make it to high where your eye lid is. please help to find the best way for me to put it on.

you should look down when you put it on that always helps me. :)

the best way to do this is you must get a liquid eyeliner that has a thick, felt tip applicator. The liquid eyeliner with the very thin applicators suck and it takes you longer to apply. This also works with regular eye pencil but that doesn't show up dark enough for me. but yeah, go with the thick tip applicator.

i know what u mean. what i do is i put the eye liner on my lid and i dont worry too much about how straight or good it looks because i then Shadow my lids with a dark brown. i use a brush to work it in. My eyes end up looking kinda smokey and its really cute and sexy. sometimes i cover it up with shimmer.

Pull the outer edge of your eye (Making an 'Asian eye') and trace along your top eyelashes, in a pencil eyeliner. I suggest going over your pencil liner with a liquid eyeliner. It takes practice to get use to both liquid eyeliner and applying an eyeliner to your top lid. both can be difficult and tricky. Search eyeliner tutorials on YouTube. I'm sure there will be one up to help you.

It's really not just one way. every woman has her own way, but it takes a lot of practice. Usually a pointy eye liner might help. but if you don't want to wait to learn by yourself, ask somebody else to do it for you.

Use a felt tip liquid liner!! They are the best!

well i only put it on the bottom i never put it on the top, but I'd think it would be easier to look away from where your applying the eyeliner. but don't poke your eye! (just kiddin') good luck.

It's important to go slowly and carefully when applying an eyeliner pencil. It takes practice, but once you do it enough you should get the hang of it. Then you will be able to draw either a thick or thin line. Patience and practice.

for right-handed ppl: stretch the eyelid out on ur right eye n draw the line close to the lashline, starting from the inner corner to the outer edge. then slowly thicken the line (thin at the inner corner, getting a bit thicker at the outer edge). then do the same with ur left eye, except draw the line starting from the outer edge to the inner corner. slowly thicken this line as well.

for lefties: line ur left eye first, using the same technique as right-handed ppl use on their rite eye (see above). then line ur right eye (using the second technique – above).
p.s. its usually easier to line the eye closest to the hand that u use to write. it gives ppl more confidence so that they can draw a good line on the other eye.

hope that helped! :D

Does anyone else absolutely love black eye liner?

Because i love it, i always put it on… and what kind do you use? gel, liquid, or pencil?

i love black eyeliner! i use pencil liner for the waterline and either gel or liquid for the upper lash line. i think gel liner is the easiest to use and i like using it when i want to do a winged liner look. my favorite liquid liner is loreal lineur intense and my favorite gel liner is bobbi brown gel liner, but i also like tarte clay liner!

I love it xD

I use rimmel london exaggerate liquid eyeliner on the top lid and maybelline kajal pencil on the bottom lid and waterline.

I've tried wearing purple eyeliners or brown ones, but it just doesn't look right so I'm deffinitly sticking to black ;D

What lip gloss do you recommend that lasts for a couple hours or more?

Whenever I wear lip gloss, it always comes off within a half an hour and makes my lips really dry. Is there anything that I can do that will make that stop?

use a chapstick first, or a moisturizing something or other (i personally like aquafina hydrating lip oil…….it's AMAZING!!!!) then wait 5 or so minutes and put on your lipgloss. covergirl's fruit spritzers or wetslicks work really well for me, but none of them last longer than a half hour. i don't think any do…….try a lipstain covergirl.com/products/produc…
good luck! =D

bathandbodyworks.com/product/…
im wearing the exact one right now. it's awesome. i've been wearing it for umm 2 hrs and it still has a great shine. :]
i would recommend this to anyone. it also comes tinted if u want some color in it. the mint tastes good. haha
when u just put it on, there will be this tingly feeling (which i love).
umm it says on the bottle "Peppermint Oil 2%" that's probably what causes the tingly feeling.
besides giving u a shine, it also moisturizes ur lips.
i like wearing this after i eat a meal or something cause it gets rid of ur bad breath.
ty to my friend who recommended it to me and now im in love with it.
oh yeah, i forgot to say that.. IT ISN'T sticky AT ALL. well, barely!
so yeah…
good luck finding that one perfect lip gloss!
:]

No lipgloss I've ever heard of stays on for more than 30 mins. try using clear lipblam, it looks BETTER than lipgloss and stays on for a couple of hours. I use it everyday and it not only looks good, it's better for your lips and also is good for dry lips. :) :)

put moisturizing lip balm on first. Then a longwearing lip gloss – anywhere from drugstore brand to higher end cosmetics

i use este lauder myself it comes in a tube in several shades.wear it over your normal lipstick and your lips will look great

get the really sticky ones, avon has it.. loreal too….

instead of wearing lip gloss, where lip stain

Applying Eye Shadow

Applying eye shadow is not exactly the simplest of things, but it is also not as hard as some people might think. you can learn how to frame your eyes to produce an alluring look. This takes practice, but you can fully master the style of applying it that works best for your eye shape and face.

What works for one woman may not exactly work for everyone, so you might need to be open to the idea of trying out a lot of styles before you settle for a signature eye shadow. here are some tricks and tips that can help you develop your own style.

1. Remember that the main goal is to enhance your eye color. In choosing colors, it’s best to get one that matches your eye color or contrasts well for a more dramatic effect. you can go extreme, but just make sure that you can pull it off effectively.

2. Three colors are needed for basic application: the base, the highlighter and the main color. It will be best to start with a light color and work your way upward to a darker one.

3. Remove layers by blending effectively. Make sure that even if you are using three shades for your eyes, they will look in harmony with each other. Blend the colors very well for a more solid and attractive look.

4. Hide wrinkles by avoiding shimmery looks. Some people think that shimmer is good, but it’s not that advisable, especially if you are trying to hide wrinkles.

5. Consider your other makeup elements as you decide on your eye shadow look. if you already have used a dramatic type of lipstick, then it would be best to go easy on your eyes and choose a lighter color.

6. if you want a bright effect for your eyes, use a luminous color such as white to ensure that you achieve it.

7. Eye shadow comes first, mascara second. Avoid those nasty marks that can develop from mascara. Mascara is good as a final touch for your eyes, and your shadow makeup serves as the base.

8. Concealer makeup comes after the eye application. Make sure that your concealer and powder is applied after the eye shadow. In applying makeup, your shadow should be your top priority because it’s the less obtrusive and it directs the overall theme of your look.

9. Use different eye shadow brushes to create effects. A slanted brush will help distribute the color more effectively. Moist sponge tips also ensure that you will have the color far longer than when you apply the eye shadow dry.

Once you have mastered putting on your own eye makeup, you may find that you want different colors than those that you purchase. Note: that it is possible you to make eye shadow in the exact colors you want. This is always an option.

Cosmetic overhaul : New rules to a healthy face

It’s time to take makeup management seriously. by SONYA BILIANIS June 02, 2011

Feel naked without your makeup?

Without proper care, those sultry, smoldering eyes coated with eye shadow, eyeliner and mascara can lead to bacterial infections, skin irritation and — uh-oh— wrinkles.

Beauty consultants for the Bon-Ton in Stroud Mall — Neeru Chopra for Clarins and Connie Furey for Lanc?me — offer makeup tips:

  • use baby shampoo to wash makeup brushes if they are made with real hair; lay flat to dry.
  • Look for makeup in bottles with a pump. This will help prevent bacteria growth and contamination from fingers going into the bottles.
  • Sharpen eye liner/eyebrow pencils after each use for proper hygiene.
  • Never share makeup.
  • keep makeup stored in a drawer, not exposed to sunlight.
  • Never store makeup in the bathroom with heat and humidity.

It’s time to take makeup management seriously.

Women go to great lengths to enhance their beauty or cover skin imperfections, but according to Dr. Charles Herman, director of plastic and reconstructive surgery for Pocono Health system, first things first. before even considering makeup, use sunblock and avoid tanning beds.

Skip the sun and premature wrinkles altogether and get that golden glow with sunless self-tanner.

“Self-tanner has come a long way. you don’t have to worry about turning orange anymore,” said Neeru Chopra, Bon-Ton counter manager for Clarins makeup in Stroud Mall.

Tip: If your moisturizer does not contain sunscreen, apply moisturizer first, then apply sunscreen. “By nature, foundation and most makeup contain titanium dioxide which gives some sun protection, but not enough if you plan on being outside for a long period of time,” said Arkadia Dullek, owner of Arkadia Day Spa in East Stroudsburg.

“When applying makeup, there is the trendy way and the right way,” Dullek said. First off, use as little as possible. “People who use a lot of makeup generally have the worst skin,” she said.

Dullek’s favorite way to apply makeup is with her clean fingers. “Brushes and sponges hold a lot of bacteria,” she said. “Brushes should be washed often, and sponges should be thrown away after each use. They cost pennies and are a perfect environment for bacteria to grow.”

When the day is done, it is important to remove all makeup and then moisturize. “Our skin is catching free radicals all during the day, catching dust on top of the makeup and clogging the pores,” she said.

There is a reason night moisturizing creams are more intensive than a day cream. “At night, when the body rests, the skin breathes differently. We tend to breathe deeper, allowing the skin to take in the moisturizer deeper. Now imagine what happens to your skin if you do not remove the makeup at night,” Dullek said.

When removing waterproof eye makeup with a makeup remover, make sure to wash off the remover and any other residue left behind. Follow up with a toner.

“Toner will help balance the pH of your skin after using soap and water. it is a good second rinse,” Dullek said.

Tip: Do not wear makeup while exercising. The body detoxifies by sweating. Makeup will prevent the skin from breathing and will clog the pores.

The theory of “less is more” is especially true when using eye makeup. Less makeup, gentler removal, fewer wrinkles.

“The skin around the eyes is very fragile. We end up stretching that fragile skin around the eyes when removing makeup,” Dullek said.

Many products claim to reduce wrinkles. “The majority without a prescription doesn’t have any effect. in fact, the vast majority are bad for the skin,” Herman said.

“Over-the-counter products change all the time because they don’t work. People stop buying them and they don’t last on the market,” he said.

The answer? See your doctor for prescription-grade products, says Herman.

“Many woman use concealer to cover dark circles under their eyes, but what many do not know is that those dark circles are actually blood vessels showing through the skin due to poor blood circulation,” Dullek said.

“Concealer doesn’t allow the skin to breathe, leaving the appearance of dark circles under the eyes. many times if you go outside without makeup, this allows the skin to breath naturally, allowing oxygen to circulate through the blood into the skin, helping those dark circles to go away,” she said.

Tip: use a good eye cream to help the skin absorb the oxygen from the air.

“All makeup sold in the United States is tested for quality and purity, but what might be irritating for one person might not be skin-sensitive to another,” Herman said.

Makeup contains alcohol, which can cause drying and flaking of the skin, called skin dermatitis. Herman recommends using mineral-based makeup. “This product line has natural organic ingredients that are easier on the skin. it can even be used after surgical procedures when other makeup should be avoided,” he said.

Think about contamination all the time, warned Dullek. “If you have blemishes, make sure that the bacteria doesn’t contaminate your makeup by reusing and blending makeup with the same applicator,” she said.

Tip: Fingers off. Don’t squeeze your pimples. “The bacteria from acne is very strong and will spread. it will also cause unnecessary scarring,” Dullek said.

“Makeup doesn’t have an expiration date, but when makeup gets old, it tends to separate and becomes watery after one year. Mascara should be tossed after three months whether it’s good or not,” Chopra said.

“Lipstick contains lanolin, which can start to smell funny when it goes bad,” said Dullek. “Also, if you have any infections, throw all makeup away and buy new when healed,” she said.

Tip: “Buy inexpensive makeup. That way you can throw it away and buy new if it gets too old,” Dullek said.
