Nail Care System – 12 Tips

Finding a quality nail care system is very important

When it comes to making a good impression, well kept fingernails rank highly. Poorly kept nails are almost immediately noticed and can greatly impact a person’s image and the all important first assessment when meeting someone for the first time.

Use these 12 care tips as part of a fingernail care system that ensures your nails serve as a good advertisement and help build a positive image:

1. Healthy looking fingernails should be smooth, curved, void of any spotting, and should not have any hollows or ridges.

2. Make sure your fingernails are completely dry before you file them.

3. Shape your nails with a fine emery board, do not use any type of metal file.

4. when filing, try to keep the shape of your fingernails oval not pointed, thus making the nails less susceptible to breakage.

5. The cuticle acts as a seal between the finger and the nail. Gently exfoliating the dry, rough, cuticle skin layers by actually sloughing off the dead outer layers exposes new and vibrant skin.

6. This new healthy skin protects the nails matrix which is the growth center of the nail and should be treated with care.

7. Don’t over manicure your cuticles. Over-grooming the cuticle damages the cuticle and causes it to thicken and overgrow.

8. never use metal or sharp instruments on your cuticles.

9. Wear rubber gloves if your hands are going to be immersed in water for any length of time. Extensive periods in water can dry out the fingernails making them brittle.

10. Apply colorless nail polish or a nail strengthener to the tip of the nail to provide a protective shield.

11. Apply a base coat before putting on nail polish to avoid the nail polish staining the nails. Sometimes the dye in the nail polish can leave a residue and stain the nail.

12. if your fingernails carry stains you will need to let them grow out to remove the stain. Alternatively, lemon juice applied around the tips of the nails can remove some stains.

Nail Biting

If fingernail biting is a problem, setting up a good nail care system can do much to conquer the habit. those who have the nail biting habit often neglect their hands and give up on them altogether.

As a first step, using a fingernail biting deterrent such as a bitter tasting coating which is applied to the nails can help. Patience is needed while nails grow out to eliminate the effects of mistreatment

Then, investing in quality fingernail care products as part of an overall nail care system will gradually help an individual take pride in having attractive hands.

How to Remove Gel Nails, Even If You Have No Experience

Removing gel nails can be hard and seem impossible. Although I suggest always having an experienced nails manicure technician do this stuff for you, if you’re really into getting them removed yourself, read this simple procedure and you’ll be removing it from your fingers in no time.

Place

Make sure you are in a very well ventilated area. The best places being outdoors or beside an open window. The mixture of nail polish remover and gel nails creates a stronger odor than nail polish itself, and smelling it for hours inside your room or house is just plain intoxicating.

Remove Nail Polish

This is an often skipped and forgotten step that comes back to frustrate women. Removing nail polish from the nails seems unnecessary since you’re already going to remove the gel nails. however, removing the nail polish before removing the gel nails saves you the frustration from having to remove spots, residual or partially dissolved nail polish on your fingers after removing them. and believe me, this simple additional step will save you a lot of time and frustration later on. So to remove the nail polish have a bunch of cotton balls ready. Get one and use polish remover to remove the nail polish off of the gel nails.

Soaking your hands

After removing the polish, pour about half an inch of polish remover into a bowl. for better results you can heat the nail polish a little to make it warmer and also use a stronger acetone nail polish remover available in many drug stores. place your whole fingers tips in the liquid so that the whole gel nails is completely submerged. do this only one hand at a time. You always want a clean free hand to work on the other instead of two wet and messy hands. after a few minutes if the liquid solution has cooled down a bit, add some more warm acetone.

Five minutes later, if the gel nails have developed a strong odor and is now a little soft and sticky you can try gently pulling the ends of the gel nails to remove it from your real nail. You may also use an orange stick to gently pry the tips from your nail beds. if you feel any sort of pain or if the nails simply won’t budge stop and continue to soak your finger tips in the liquid mixture. Remember to not force anything as this might damage your real nails. Continue to repeat this tug and soak process until you can comfortably remove all the gel from your finger tips.

After removal of gel nails

With a clean cotton ball and some clean nail polish remover fresh from a bottle, quickly wipe off the remaining sludge or goo on your fingers. Don’t be alarmed if your natural nails are a little rough, you can smooth them out by gently buffing them with a nail buffer or the softer side of a nail file. You can now repeat the whole process with the other hand.

Finishing touches

So your fingers nails are now free of gel nails. at this time, your natural nails are very delicate and have been weakened by the gel nails. It will take some time before it becomes fully healthy so you have to be extra delicate with them from now on. some suggestions on what to do now is you could shape your nails with an emery board or continue using the nail file and apply a clear coat of polish on your nails.

Soft Angel Nails – Simple Nail Designs For Round Nails

If you are looking for simple nail designs with a soft look, consider this design. This art can easily be created with white polish, a burgundy colored nail art brush and a file.

Simple nail designs are so popular because they enhance our natural nails. what makes this look so innocent is the color scheme, simplicity of design and rounded nail tips. to achieve this look, do the following:

• If you have flat or pointy nails, take a file to make them round. you can start with the sides of your nail and work your way towards the middle. If you start in the middle, you may shave too much off and also give yourself a flat looking nail. you can also buy rounded nail tips and glue them on your natural nails.

• Next, draw a V-shape on your nail tip and fill in with white polish. make sure that the point is right in the middle of your nail, otherwise it won’t be symmetrical. Simple nail designs are often symmetrical in nature.

• taking a nail art brush, carefully outline your white tip with burgundy. Start on the left side of your nail and follow the edge of the white nail tip to the middle. Don’t stop there. Extend your burgundy just a little beyond the white center. Repeat on the opposite side. you do not want to start in the middle. If you notice in the picture, the line starts off thick and gets thinner as it reaches the middle. So, you want to start on the left side of your nail and work your way to the center, also. Essentially, you are drawing a burgundy X over your white nail tip. Do not worry if your X does not lie perfectly over your white nail tip. with this simple nail design, it doesn’t matter.

• This design is a naturally raw look. This means that using clear polish is optional. the advantage of using clear polish is that it protects your simple nail designs. However, if you are going for a natural look, consider leaving out this final step.

The Causes of Purple Lips

A purple lip is really what the name implies. It is the change in the colouration of the lips from pink to purple or blue and is common in colder climates. A look into the causes of purple lips has indicated that it could either be the effect of the cold, or a medical condition known as cyanosis.

Cyanosis or purple or blue lips in simple terms are the change in colour of the skin membrane that is caused by inadequate oxygen amount of oxygen in the blood. It can be due to low blood counts or problems with the oxygen content of the blood. It is common to those with existing lung, heart or breathing problems.

A healthy blood is always a shade of red in colour, the colour changes to dark red in deoxygenated blood. For fairer skins, the colour of the skin obscures the colour of blood making it look pink to the eye. When the blood turns dark red due to inadequate supply of oxygen to it, the skin appears to be purple or blue depending on the colour shade of blood and colour tone of skin

Keeping adequately warm, hydrated and moisturised is a sufficient way of managing or avoiding it but since the causes of purple lips can be other underlying medical complications; it is best not ignore any occurrences. most of the time, the tongue, fingernails, and the visible veins changes colour too.

Common treatment of purple lips include having proper insulation from the cold; surgery, if it is caused by heart compilations; chemotherapy, to remove the cancerous cells if it caused by cancer of the lungs; using anti coagulating pills to thin the blood if caused by pulmonary embolism; proper hydration, in case of dehydration; the use of right balms to keep the lips moisturised and exercise to warm up the body.

Experts have suggested that medical help should be sought immediately if a person has purple lips and one or two of these listed symptoms. They are:

• Difficulty in breathing or inability to take deep breaths • Chest pain or tightness of chest muscles • Fever • Coughing up dark mucus • Muscles strain • Headaches • Drowsiness or dizziness • Hunched over shoulders with in the sitting position • Tiredness • Insomnia • Loss of appetite • Irritability • Limp or lifeless body • Flaring of the nostrils while breathing

Eating balanced meals and keeping healthy lifestyle increases the body’s power to fight abnormalities and boosts the natural insulation abilities. this might also be a great preventive measure against cold weather caused purple lips.

Many stores online, as well as offline, sell fake nails. You can find them in many fabulous colors and extraordinary designs. The mass-produced kinds are dirt cheap, while those that are custom made for your hands will be a bit more expensive. You will pay extra to have these nails made to fit your finger nails; these artificial nails are also of a better quality and will last longer.

Tip 1 – Buying fake nails as a set or in bulk will bring the individual cost of the nails down. You will also save on shipping charges, as you only have to pay for it once. ask your retailer up front how much the nails and the shipping will cost, and if there are any taxes and hidden fees. some vendors will charge for handling fees as well.

Tip 2 – When you order custom fake nails make sure that the company keeps your nail impression and personal information on file in their computer system. If they do not, you will have to pay extra when you need a second set or a replacement nail. You will have to go through the entire ordering process again.

Tip 3 – only order from a vendor who will give you instructions on how to properly care for your acrylic nails. fake nails that are made from an acetone proof thermo-plastic can be painted in nail polish from any brand, and in any possible color of your choice. You could even go crazy and mix and match your shades and designs. Isn’t that marvelous?

Are nail tips as damaging as full gel/acrylic nails…

I'm going on holiday in 3 weeks and as a nail biter my nails aren't really as long as i wanted.
I was thinking about have professional tips done rather than full nails but are they as damaging to the natural nail underneath as full ones?

I don't think that they are as damaging to the actual nail, but if you bang or hit your finger, they can still damage the nail bed. Especially if there is a lot of pulling on the nail underneath. However, you shouldn't have a huge problem if this is a once in while thing and you are careful.

have you tried glue on nails by broadway or elegant touch? found in both superdrug and boots they look really effective. I put them on and they last 4 days before a few drop off but there is spares so i just glue some back on £5 -£7 and they dont reck your nails. if enything i find my grow underneath

they dont damage them, the glue does stick to them after you take the fake ones off so you have ot soak the real nails in finger nail polish remover after for like 10 minutes and they will be back to normal

<3

They are the same thing! It depends on where you go to get them done as to how damaging it will be. try to not go to a place where they use the drills.
