All-Natural Homemade Facial Masks

Spring has sprung and it’s time for transformation like snakes shedding their skins, it’s time for us to shed our dull winter-damaged skin. It’s the perfect time to mix up and use some all-natural homemade facial masks. Here are a few of my favorite recipes for homemade facial masks.

Refreshing Peach-Vinegar Facial Mask

To make this facial mask you need:

- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Peel the peach and mash it up to a fine consistency (or puree it in a food processor). Add 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to the puree. Depending on the size of the peach you use, you may need to adjust the amount of vinegar you add. Add just enough vinegar so that the mask is firm enough to stay on your face after you apply it. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it one for about 15 minutes. Rinse your face with warm water and follow up with a natural moisturizer. This mask works well for all skin types.

Deep Cleansing Enzyme Mask

To make this facial mask you need:

- 1 or 2 enzyme capsules (available in health food stores or online)

This mask is great for deep-cleansing your pores and works well on all skin types. To create this mask, mix powdered enzymes, which usually come in capsules, with spring water until the mix achieves a mud-like consistency. Apply the mixture over your entire face or just over your T-zone. Leave the mask on until it dries completely, and then rinse your face with warm water. Follow with a natural moisturizer. You’ll notice your skin will be smooth and yours will appear smaller.

Banana-Honey Mask for Oily Skin

To make this facial mask you need:

- 1 very ripe organic banana

This sweet and fruity mask not only smells great but is fabulous for clearing up oily skin. Mash up your very ripe banana and then mix in the honey. Apply this gooey concoction to your face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse your face with warm water and apply a natural moisturizer. Your skin should feel clean and less oily.

Moisturizing Honey-Avocado Mask for Dry Skin

To make this facial mask you need:

- 1/2 ripe organic avocado (should feel slightly soft when squeezed)

- 3 tablespoons honey

If you have dry skin your face will love this mask Peel 1/2 the avocado and mash until creamy. Mix in the honey and apply the mixture to your face. Leave the mask on your face for 15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. Follow up with a natural moisturizer. Your dry skin should feel deeply nourished and moisturized.

Some Of The Benefits Of Using A Collagen Facial Mask

If you see many people showing their interest in the use of a collagen facial mask, it is because of the several benefits of making use of one. There are many things that take place in our body as we grow older and age. One of the things that happen to our skin as we grow older is that it loses collagen. The presence of collagen in our skin gives it elasticity and as this genuine elasticity is lost with time, the skin begins to turn puffy and go saggy. Apart from the looseness that is experienced with the skin, it has also been realized that there is a gradual formation of ugly wrinkles and fine lines on some parts of the body especially on the face where their prominence makes the face less beautiful.

The genuine process of aging is one of the realities of life that must be faced however this still has some negative effects on the self confidence which a person has. Today’s technology has however provided a way out of this. People can now age more graceful and eliminate the low self esteem they often have to battle with at this point of their lives. With the aid of collagen facial mask, a great help has just been proffered for all people who may find old wrinkled skin a little disconcerting for them.

Despite the proven effectiveness of this beauty product, there are still some people who are skeptical about the ingredients in it. They are not sure there would not be side effects from the use of such products even after reading the production label by its side. Collagen is a type of fibrous albumen and it develops in the body of a human being. It is known to be supportive of the growth of certain types of tissues such as bones, tendons, skin, cartilage as well as a number of inner organs. When collagen becomes combined with keratin, it becomes very effective in providing firmness and elasticity for the skin. It would therefore be easy to understand why a skin begins to sag with old age. The commencement of sagging and the appearance of wrinkles on the face are as a result of the collagen content in the skin becoming used up. From the studies conducted, it has been revealed that there is a gradual lessening of the collagen content in the skin from the age of twenty five.

With the topical application of collagen facial mask, the skin assimilates the substance and this enhances its production of albumen. However with the topical application of alone, there may not be a total straightening of the wrinkles that disfigure the face. There are still some products that can help in the production of inner collagen. a skin that collagen facial mask is applied on stays moist and is prevented from becoming dehydrated. this is a wonderful effect as those with dry skins would not have to suffer the discomfort or embarrassing appearances this gives them anymore.

Beauty Tips – Natural Face Masks

Keeping your skin healthy and glowing is no easy task and you should be keeping it clean at the very least. the problem is the skin on your face is more sensitive then other areas of your body and should be treated with special care to prevent pore clogging and minor blemishes from occurring. your face requires special soaps and scrubs that remove dirt, grime and grease gently, but don’t dry out your skin. you want products that remove all these elements and then fortify your skin and maintain the delicate PH balance, which refers to keeping your skin moisturized. One of the best ways to maintain skin around your face is to use a mask at least once at week. Masks are the key component for rehydrating your skin and leaving it with a new glow. There are a few natural facemasks that can provide this function.

Avocados – Avocados are indigenous to Central and South America, preferring the warm, dry climates. Conditions in North America are typically too cold for them to grow properly, so any that you buy are most likely imported. They are rich in fatty acids, nutrients and have an array of different shades of green underneath the skin. the soft fleshy green area sits around a seed. Most people eat avocados, but what they don’t know is that they provide an excellent mask for your face. the fatty acids and nutrients within the green flesh of the fruit (because it has a seed) are excellent for rehydrating skin. to use, cut a ripe avocado in half and scoop out the fleshy green area. Cover your entire face with it and let it sit from 10 to 15 minutes before removing with water. After a couple of applications, your face will look like its been treated in a professional clinic.

Aloe Vera – Most people know aloe vera because it is used in a wide variety of cosmetic products. what some people don’t know though, is that it comes from the cactus-like green plant and is extremely inexpensive. Aloe vera is excellent for treating cuts, burns or any areas on the skin that have been damaged. but, you can also use it as a natural facemask. to use it, snap off an arm piece of your aloe plant and squeeze out the green gel liquid, applying it all over your face. it has a cool sensation and will help rehydrate all the skin tissue on your face. use it about three to four times a week to give your skin that pampered look.

How to Make Halloween Masks Out of Paper Bags

This project is a great way to make Halloween masks for your kids without spending a fortune! I don’t know about you but my child always yanked his mask off, so even if this occurs you are not losing a lot of money! These creative masks are all made from large paper bags, either from the grocery store, craft store, or dollar store and the bag has side gussets.

Materials: Large paper bag with gussets: for the mask. Colored thin card or colored construction paper: to make cats ears or flower petals. Thick nibbed black felt pen: to outline features. Various decorations: for individual masks. Scissors: to cut ears and eyes, and any other shapes you desire. Pencil: to create marks. Glue: to adhere all of you features and decorations.

For All Masks: When creating any of these masks, first pull the paper bag over the head until it sits comfortably on the shoulders. Press the bag gently against the face of your child or whomever you are making the mask for. Mark lightly in soft pencil where nose and eyes go. Remove the bag and cut out a small pear shaped flap for the nose and two small slits for the eyes. If you cut correctly a child or spouse should be able to see out of them. cut a slit or small opening for the mouth as well. you can now create any mask you want, make your own design and use your black felt pen to create lines, whiskers. Design different facial features on colored construction paper and glue onto your mask. for example if you decide to make a cat mask then you would draw, cat ears, eyes, and mouth on separate colored papers , cut them out and adhere them to your mask. you can now add pieces of fun fur and absolutely anything else you want.
